The International Sport and Culture Association (ISCA) invites you to experience one of the biggest international conference dedicated to recreational sport and health-enhancing physical activity, the MOVE Congress, in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 29-31 October 2025.
The MOVE Congress is one of the few conferences in the world that focuses solely on recreational sport and physical activity. The event gathers organisations and individuals who deliver initiatives at the grassroots level along with decision-makers, companies, urban planners, health experts, academics and other key stakeholders for three days of active networking.
Its innovative sessions have a unique focus on being physically active – so you can expect the unexpected, such as watching a speaker riding an exercise bike during their presentation, sitting on a fitness ball or showing you the active spaces in their city.
Taking this dynamic approach and getting conference participants out of their seats to move around ensures a great level of interaction and is a fun way to break the ice. And it might just help you establish your next successful partnership…
10 years of highlights!
This year we celebrate the 11th anniversary of the MOVE Congress! Since 2009, the MOVE Congress has been held in Copenhagen (twice), Frankfurt, Paris, Sao Paulo, Barcelona, Rome, Birmingham, Budapest and Brussels.
For a taste of what to expect, check out the highlights from the MOVE Congress in Budapest and Brussels below and you can find more presentations and highlights videos going all the way back to 2009 on our YouTube channel.
“We believe in the power of inspiration. And we have seen that sharing practical, real life solutions can achieve more in reality than any theoretical construct. Therefore, we constantly look to create opportunities for our members and partners to get involved in piloting new initiatives, scaling up successful ones, organising events, influencing decision-makers and learning from each other.”

To ensure quality in the public realm, cities need great streets supported by places that intuitively captivate users to want to stay longer, human-scale inspired by interaction between buildings and streets.

Literacy is embedded in our understanding of education as developing the ability to read and write – so what does it mean to be “physically literate”?

“The really special thing about the MOVE Congress is that there are so many sports implementers and activists and projects that are operating outside of the normal sports structure. So coming to the MOVE Congress is incredibly inspirational because we’re learning about all of the different practices and techniques of good project design”
